For our new B2B direct sales channel we are seeking a full-time Key Account Manager to join our dynamic, international team at our Düsseldorf office.
The successful candidate will collaborate cross-functionally with various teams, including commercial, operations, product, and country leads, to acquire and onboard large customers and ensure our key account product meets their needs. As part of METRO Group we team up with our local sales colleagues to grow our joint business with our common customers as one METRO – across channels and borders.

This role involves all sales activites from acquiring large customers to negotiation, onboarding and after sales care to build long term relationships and ensure sustsained cooperation.

- Developing and shaping the strategy, operations and processes of our newly established Key-Account Team
- Identification & acquisition of potential new Key-Account Customers
- Increasing share of wallet with existing customers
- Developing trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Preparation and negotiation of individual offers depending on the customer’s needs
- Analyses of tenders
- Tracking and reporting of relevant commercial KPIs
- Close collaboration with METRO country organisation
- Support in resolve issues and problems faced by customers and handling of potential complaints
