As an Accountant, your key responsibilities will include:
- General Ledger Accounting: Maintain accurate financial records for the German legal entity, including accounting and reporting requirements arising from its international business activities.
- Month-End, Quarter-End and Year-End Closing: Perform all closing activities to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Statutory and Group Reporting: Prepare statutory financial statements under HGB (German Local GAAP) and IFRS reporting packages for group reporting purposes.
- International Coordination: Oversee and coordinate the accounting and reporting requirements for our branch in Italy, liaising with local tax advisors and external accountants.
- Process Improvement & Automation: Contribute to finance automation initiatives, e-invoicing implementation, and continuous process improvements.
- Account Reconciliations & Financial Analysis: Perform balance sheet reconciliations, analyze financial data, investigate discrepancies, and ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial records.
- Shared Services Coordination: Oversee the activities of the shared service bookkeeping team, ensuring timely and accurate processing of accounting transactions.
- Audit Coordination: Coordinate internal and external audits by preparing documentation, responding to auditor requests, and working closely with internal and external stakeholders.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with internal accounting policies, regulatory requirements, and applicable accounting standards.
